The UOMSA Elections Committee (EC) is a committee mandated under the UOMSA Constitution to organise the upcoming 2019 UOMSA Elections for the incoming 2019-2020 Executive Team. The EC is headed by the Chief Elections Officer (CEO) who is selected by the incumbent UOMSA Executive Team. The CEO will serve as the coordinator for the activities of the EC. The EC is made up of five members who are chosen because of their experience in leadership positions with the UOMSA and on the promise to remain impartial during in the elections process. The EC members must have sufficient experience with the UOMSA in the form of at least one year of experience as an Executive or two years of experience at the committee level (as a head or a member). The members of the EC also must not be running for an Executive position in the upcoming election and cannot be more than 3 years removed from UOMSA involvement. The EC willcoordinate all the logistics and planning of the upcoming election. This includes the creation of the application form, holding interviews with candidates, and the organisation of the polling days.
